Aminata Kouta

Aminata Kouta knows the value of an education. She is the fourth of eleven children but when she was nine years old she became the first of her entire family to start school. Her will to begin was so strong that only through her pleading and tears she was able to convince her father to send her. She’s at her best when she’s helping others and in the poorest most degrated areas of Dakar she visits families and stresses the importance of getting their kids in school. As a WFG coordinator, she helps these children with homework, obtains identification papers when they have none, meets with teachers and school directors and insists on excellent attendance.
Other than being a WFG coordinator, she works as a nurse’s aid, and is currently enrolled in a course on information technology
