Senegalese cooking takes hours and when you see the beautiful meals coming out of the kitchen, you will understand. To make a reservation for lunch, (14,00 or 2:00) please call Aminata, Athia's sister, by 11am at 77 229 2744. Make arrangements with Aminata to get to Hotel Pacha at the end of Avenue Lamine Gueye near Rue Tolbiac, and one of the Kouta's will be there to greet you and bring you to Keur Athia's!
Menu: 6,000cfa, 9 Euro or $13 includes: A taste of four different drinks -- bissap (hibiscus), tamarind, ginger and Baobab tree fruit. Then you choose your favorite!
The main meal changes everyday, and Aminata will let you know the selection when you call. Senegalese cooking is much more than standing next to a stove top. Athia sits on the floor, waving the hot coals to heat the water and cook. A lot of delicious preparation is required, so please call for lunch before 11am and for dinner, before 5pm.
